All About Bev
I’m live, sometimes even alive. I’m local when I’m not being worldly (like I could be.) Local keeps me humble and gives me roots. This stretch of open sky and high desert shows me beauty every day. I am so grateful. I’m bookish. I like books. I like to buy them, check them out from the library, listen to them, read them, and think about them. I like fiction. Give me the story please. I’m learning to enjoy non-
fiction. Can I get the audio for that, please?
I’m the annoying puppy that wants to be friends, well sometimes, after two cups of coffee and after ten in the morning. I’m not fit for public before the sun is well up. That’s not to say I don’t get up before the sun, I just try not to unfriend folks with my presence that early.
I’m a Christian, a widow, a mother, a civil engineer, a farmer, an author, and a dog sap. My house is a mess of books, crafts, half-finished projects, and dog hair. I try to live boldly but sometimes I fail.
Thank you for visiting.

Readables
Beverly is currently working on several projects. You can read some of her short works in these anthologies. The Joy Reader is a collection of works by the Joy writers. For years we met at the Joy Center, hence the name. We still meet under our fearless leader Eva McCollaum and she produces the Joy Reader. We meet every Wednesday afternoon in Roswell, New Mexico, and share with each other in order to become stronger, wiser, and more powerful artists. Here you will find fiction, poetry, memoir, and even experimental forms.

Book Review, The Abbey by James Martin, SJ

Review: Saved Without a Doubt by John MacArthur
Thank you for this review. I also enjoyed the book, particularly for its assurance.
Book Review, Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine
The sequel to Ink and Bone titled, Paper and Fire, comes out this week, so I thought a review might be timely. Some have likened Ink and Bone to Harry Potter meets the Book Thief...
Book Review of When The Mockingbird Sings
When the Mockingbird Sings, by Billy Coffey, 2013 Thomas Nelson I purchased this book from a list of you-may-also-likes in an online retail browser. I bought it because it was...
